Special Needs of Older Adults

As we all know, the aging process can be difficult at times. Adapting to changes related to growing older requires many resources.

Senior Adult Inpatient Treatment

The clinical staff of our Behavioral Medicine Services Department is dedicated and trained to work with older adults. Geriatric patients have different needs from the younger population. Because of sensory difficulties, the environment needs to be modified so that it is safer and more user-friendly. In addition to these modifications, the staff is trained to deal with the acute medical conditions that may exist. Occupational and physical therapy, with a focus on wellness, is also available.

Our goals are to promote wellness, assist individuals to enable them to function at their highest level and improve the quality of life of the elderly person.
