ACMC revises visitation policy

Monday, December 27, 2021

Due to the national shortage of COVID-19 testing supplies, ACMC Healthcare System has made the following changes to our testing protocols:

  • Emergency Department Patients: Only patients who are likely to be admitted to the hospital will be tested.
  • Provider Office Patients: Only patients who are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms AND are considered high-risk for respiratory diseases will be tested.

The testing protocols will be updated as supplies become more available. Please refer to the homepage of The Bridge for the most up-to-date information.

Caregivers who are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms while at home SHOULD NOT report to work for their shift. Caregivers should first contact their manager to report that they are having symptoms, and then call Occupational Health at 440-994-2635. The Occupational Health provider will determine if testing is required or if the caregiver can report to work.

Caregivers who begin experiencing COVID-19 symptoms after arriving at work SHOULD NOT come directly to Occupational Health. Caregivers should call Occupational Health at 440-994-2635 to report their symptoms. The Occupational Health provider will determine if testing is required or if the caregiver can report back to the department.
