Cardiac Rehabilitation
Cardiac rehabilitation is an interdisciplinary approach to repairing damage to the heart, and to preventing further cardiac problems. Patients who have completed the ACMC Cardiac Rehabilitation program frequently report increased self-confidence, an improve sense of well being, reduced fatigue, better sleep, and feelings of increased energy.

Through medication, surgery, and other procedures your doctor can give you a new lease on life. However, the condition responsible for most cardiac problems-artherosclerotic heart disease-can still exist in your body. Cardiac rehabilitation helps modify the risk factors that contribute to heart disease, and seeks to prevent reoccurring problems.

·     Lifelong exercise plays an important role in cardiac rehabilitation. Exercise has been show to:

·     decrease anginal episodes

·     decrease the number of abnormal heart beats

·     lower blood pressure and cholesterol levels

·     decrease the incidence and severity of recurrent heart attacks

·     reduce the amount of medication needed

·     significantly increase your ability to work-and to play

A vital component of cardiac rehabilitation is education. Our team will teach you about your specific heart condition and medications, as well as risk factors and heart-healthy nutrition.

The ACMC Cardiac Rehabilitation Program is supervised by a board-certified cardiologist. Most major insurances are accepted.

Pulmonary Rehabilitation
If you suffer from chronic lung disease, ACMC's pulmonary rehabilitation program can help you breathe easier. The program is overseen by a board-certified internal medicine specialist (pulmonologist) and can help you maximize lung function and improve overall health. ACMC's program benefits those with:

·     Emphysema

·     Asthma

·     Chronic bronchitis

·     Bronchiectasis

·     Reactive airway disease

·     Cystic fibrosis
